Vera Harris - Vera is in Hopewell for rehab after having knee surgery. Please pray for Vera that her surgery will be a success.

Crystal Vega - Crystal will be undergoing surgery this week. Please keep Crystal and her family in prayer.

Allen Hymes - Allen is in room #406 at Sentara-Williamsburg with a kidney infection which presents him with some unique problems as you can imagine. I talked with Kay a few minutes ago and she indicated that he would probably be there for a few days as the "numbers" are not what the doctor would like for them to be.

Geraldine & Dan Jackson - Geraldine Jackson is doing much better and was able to be with us today. Please keep Geraldine in prayer as well as Dan. Dan is back home now and is in need of prayer.

Dan Jackson, Jr - Dan is in room #409 at Sentara Williamsburg. He is having a reaction from a tick bite and they fear that it could turn into Lyme's disease. He, too, has a history of kidney problems as we all know, so this present some unique problems for him and the doctors.

Adassa Duncan - Adassa has not been feeling well for the past few weeks. Please keep Adassa in your prayers.

George Harriston - George Harriston, a neighbor of the Boisseau family, is in a coma. Please pray for George and his family.

Camelia Munn - Camelia will be learning the results of a cancer biopsy. Please keep Camelia in prayer. She is really dealing with a lot.

Catalina Laverde's grandfather - Tommy Pesante, the grandfather of Catalina Laverde and the great grandfather of Lucena Rojas, has cancer and his digestive system has failed. He may longer eat. He is in the last stages of life. Please keep Tommy and his family in prayer.

Cindy Harris's mother - Cindy's mother, June Lattanzi has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She is undergoing chemo and radiation. Please keep June and family in prayer.

James Boarman - Peg Boarman's brother-in-law in Kentucky had surgery for cancer. He is holding his own right now. Please keep James, his wife and family in prayer for strength.

Homer Hanna - Homer is Peg Boarman's brother is sick in Abilene, Texas. He is recovering from a stroke. Please continue to keep him in prayer.

Regina Clark - Regina continues to deal with MS, and is in need of encouragement. Bill stated that she is really down. There are several options to contact her. You can email her, call her and probably leave a message, send a card or she is now on Facebook.
UPDATE FROM REGINA: "I noticed that Sunday's bulletin indicates that I've asked for both calls and visits. Unfortunately, this is not a good time for me to have visitors because of specific concerns, however, I can receive calls. I want you to know that I have really been strengthened by the Bible studies that we've had thus far as well as by your prayers, visits, letters, calls, cards, emails, and Facebook messages and comments. Several members and I already have tentative plans for staggered visits when the time is right. Having brothers and sisters in Christ who can be called on to pray in person, over the phone, or wherever they are for whatever reason makes all of the difference in the world, an always has for me. Thank you for everything. I keep thinking about Ephesians 3:20 because God really is "able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us." If all goes as we hope, I look forward to joining everyone in worship in the near future. I love you all."

Roberta Brown - Roberta is still not strong enough to attend services. Please keep Roberta in prayer.

friend of Cheryl Brown - A bone marrow donor has been found for Sheila, the friend of Cheryl Brown. She is in Northern Georgia where she where she is undergoing intense chemo and then begin the process of having her bone marrow killed so she can prepare for the transplant on the 30th. Once out of the hospital she will have to return daily for at least 100 days. She said to express to the church family how grateful she is for all the prayers extended on her behalf. Please continue to keep her in prayer as she deal with the worst kind of Leukemia you can possibly have.

Terry Dalton - Prayer has been requested for Terry Dalton that the Lord will help him resist Satan's efforts to make him take a drink. Terry has been sober for 2 years because of being incarcerated. Temptation is great now that his is out.

M.C. Bailey's sister has passed away - M.C.'s sister, Helen Browning passed away on July 14. M.C. has left for Mississippi to be with the family. Please pray for M.C.'s safe travel and comfort during this difficult time.

Jim Bishop's father has passed away - Our sympathy and prayers need to be go out to Jim Bishop and his family at the death of his father on July 15. Memorial services will be private as per Mr. Bishop's request.

the Lopez family - Daniel Lopez is home right now spending some time with his family. It is wonderful to see him home. Please keep the Lopez family in your prayers as they are together and please remember them in prayer when Daniel has to leave the family to return to his deployment.

Alvarez family in Guatemala - please keep Roberto Alvarez and his family in your prayers. The Alvarez family worked with the We Care campaign a few years ago in Guatemala, and this request comes from Larry West. Larry says that in the currently politically unstable stuation in that country, many people have been threatened and Roberto has received a death threat against him and his family, as well as against other teachersand students at their church school. Roberto has decided to stay and tough it out, so please pray that he and his family and the others who have had their lives threatened remain safe.

ministers in Pakistan - Prayer has been requested for ministers in Pakistan. Their persecution has increased.

Jim Peach - Pat Little has requested prayer for her brother, Jim Peach. His alcoholism is getting worse and worse.

Bill & Rene Kassing - Bill & Rene are in need of lots of words of encouragement after the passing of their daughter, Corey.

Jennifer Christol and family - Jennifer has requested prayer for her parents safe return from their trip to California.

Gil Richardson, Jr. - Please continue to keep Gil Richardson in prayer. He is the brother of Amy Girimont. He is in a facility to take care of him, but struggles daily with his infirm.

Brian Berry - The Landrom family has requested prayer for Brian Berry in Michigan. He is dying from liver failure. Please keep Brian and his family in prayer.

Oil Spill in the Gulf - Please keep everyone in prayer that is working with the oil spill, and for the workers and their families dealing with its aftermath.

Robert Winstin - The Girimont family have requested prayer for Robert Ian Winstin. He is the Virginia Youth Symphony Conductor and he is in intensive care following major heart surgery. Please keep him in your prayers that he may gain strength and be able to get back to work enriching the lives of children through music.

Ryan Murray and his fellow troops - Ryan Murray has requested that we pray for him and his team as they are fighting to keep us safe. Please encourage Ryan and his fellow troops.

Ray Rushmore - is a member of the Coast Guard & has been deployed to Iraq. It would be great to encourage Ray and keep him & his family in prayer while he is away from his family and church family.

Yvonne Gordy - the daughter of Ella Jeanty is in Iraq & struggling. Please pray for her.

Timothy Renwick - John Renwick has requested prayer for his son, Timothy. He is in the US Army and serving at this time in Iraq. Please pray for Timothy and his safety.
